How to increase the footfall & conversion of an organized retail store

Here we will discuss how to increase the footfall and sales of an organized retail store. In my opinion i think footfall is the bread and butter for a store manager. For a retail store three things are very much important that is location, location and location. In my point of view to increase the footfall inside the store, it follows 80:20 rule. It means 80% is  the responsibility of a retail store and rest 20% is the responsibility of your company.

What a company can do to increase the footfall? The answer is very simple that is marketing activities including advertisement in newspaper, leaflets, etc. Have we ever thought that how much expensive all these sources are? And still after doing all these activites we dont know how many people will come to your store. For any brand its quite expensive to attract the new customers. lets firstly discuss from company’s point of view:

1)Make people aware: To increase the footfall company can do one thing only that is to make people aware about your new retail store by giving advertisement in newspaper, leaflets, digital media etc. It includes 20% part and rest 80% part discuss below:

Most of the perople says that if your customer service is good only than people will come to your store. What you think is it right? In my point of view customer service is something that comes at last . The perameters comes first as mentioned below:

1) Hygiene environment of the store: make sure that the environment of your store is hygiene and it must be neat and clean. it is something customers want first. In the market there is so much competition and why people will come to your store?

2)Grooming: make sure that your staff is well groomed. They must look like a professional sales person.

3)Organized store: Remember, we are working in an organized retail and our first priority is to give a well organized look to our store. Follow the VM standard of your company to do this.

4)Customer service: The most important parameter is customer service. What you think what is service? In my point of views, service is nothing but a “feeling” and feeling is either good or bad. Most of the people aware about this term, if not than go through my previous article.

Have you ever think why customer will visit your store? The answer is very simple that is your product and service. So always serve your customers well, they will definitely come back to your store. All these parameters are very much important to perform because your customers don’t know who is the owner of your brand, what kind of marketing activities are doing your companies, they do not want to know about your higher management.

They just knew one thing that is you and your store. Beacause you the people who are representing the brand. You are the ” Brand Ambassador” of your company.
